Flow, discharge sensors and systems

These flow, discharge sensors and systems use acoustic Doppler techniques to measure the speed of water (current). From this, flow and discharge can be calculated. Some instruments measure a complete current profile. Applications include:

  • Measuring the discharge of a canal or river;
  • Berthing assistance (for ships);
  • Monitoring currents at sea for shipping, offshore or marine engineering.
